Facebook's Changes: How to Invite Followers for Organic Growth

In the intricate tapestry of social media, Facebook stands as a cornerstone for quilt retailers seeking to cultivate a vibrant community of followers. Yet, as with any digital landscape, navigating the nuances of platform updates can prove challenging.

In this blog, I will explore recent modifications to Facebook's interface and provide comprehensive instructions on how to invite followers for organic growth, both from your mobile app and desktop.

Hey! Where Did My Invites Go???

We all know the significance of organically growing Facebook followers, nurturing connections with those who engage with our content. However, Facebook's recent adjustments have altered the landscape, making it less straightforward to extend invitations to potential followers, particularly via the mobile app.

Navigating the Changes: How to Invite Followers

Previously, locating the "Invite Followers" action was a simple task, nestled within the Meta Business Suite Home page. Yet, as with the ebb and flow of digital platforms, this feature has undergone modifications, rendering it elusive to users. But fear not; we're here to guide you through the updated process.

Facebook's immediate solution is to provide a mobile app link nestled in the Notifications tab of Meta Business Suite.  A blue ribbon will pop up in your notifications when you have invitees waiting for you.

A word of warning, however.  This link, as easy as it may seem, will not include all of the possible invitees.  If you want to take full advantage of organic growth opportunities, you'll need to put in a little extra effort.

Mobile App Instructions

  1. Log in to your Facebook app as your business page (not Business Suite).
  2. View as your page.
  3. Choose any post and click on the number of reactions.
  4. A screen will appear, showcasing individuals who are already following you, those who have been invited, and potential new followers.
  5. Scroll through the list and click each "INVITE" button to extend invitations to new followers.

.

Desktop Instructions

  1. Open Meta Business Suite on your desktop.
  2. Navigate to the Home page and scroll down to locate the "Grow Your Audience" section.
  3. Here, you can effortlessly invite followers who have engaged with your content.

Additional Advice for Organic Growth

While inviting followers is a crucial component of organic growth on Facebook, it's essential to complement this strategy with other tactics:

  • Create Engaging Content: Craft compelling posts that resonate with your audience, sparking conversation and interaction.
  • Leverage Facebook Groups: Join and actively participate in relevant Facebook groups within the quilting community. Share valuable insights, answer questions, and subtly promote your business.
  • Host Giveaways or Contests: Encourage engagement by hosting giveaways or contests exclusive to your Facebook followers. This not only incentivizes participation but also attracts new followers.
  • Engage Authentically: Foster genuine connections with your audience by responding to comments, addressing queries, and actively engaging in conversations.

The Last Word

Facebook's interface WILL evolve, but the essence of organic growth remains rooted in meaningful connections and authentic engagement. By navigating the platform's changes with adaptability and utilizing the strategies outlined above, you can continue to cultivate a thriving community of followers, enriching your quilt retailing journey.
